About Us
Who we are
Child Aid Papua is a non-profit, charitable organization and was founded on June 21, 2017 in Näfels, Switzerland. Through education, we give children and young people in the remote regions of West Papua better prospects for their future. In addition, education should lead to the preservation of the breathtaking nature in Raja Ampat. Since the opening of our school in August 2019, our operational base has been in Sawinggrai, Raja Ampat.
The Child Aid Papua family consists of two organizations. In Indonesia, the Cahaya Anak Papua Foundation implements our projects on site. The umbrella organization in Switzerland is an association that supports the foundation and provides all resources. We strive to keep our structures as lean as possible and thus ensure that every franc goes where it is needed.
